Do’s and Dont’s of StumbleUpon

As bloggers, we are always looking for tools to help boost our numbers.   Many have been using Twitter, Facebook, and the latest and greatest Pinterest, but what about StumbleUpon?

I have asked a friend of mine and fellow blogger Lena Burkut from Way 2 Good Life to give us some do’s and don’ts when it comes to StumbleUpon (SU).

So you want to get up close and personal with Stumble Upon?  Do you think it’s confusing?  Spend some time to understand how it works and it might become a great source of traffic for you, but you have to play by the rules.

SU traffic is so inconsistent – you might get a bucket full of traffic today and 3 visits tomorrow. Find the categories you like – SU will send you articles from the categories you picked, so make sure you are actually interested in these stories.

Goodbye Google Reader, Hello BlogLovin

As of July 1st, Google Reader will be no more, too bad really I liked it.  What is was Google Reader? BLOGLOVIN' It was a place to organize all the blogs we like to read in one place.  So what kind of blog reader are you going to use now?  May I suggest BlogLovin… Why? It is a very simple interface to use.Bloglovin is easy on the eyes and not busy with ads.We can organize our favorite blogs by topic such as fitness, my friends, food blogs, giveaway blogs, my mentors, etc…We can search for blogs that are not already following by topic.We can add blogs to the list with their link or with cute little buttons like this one: I was using Google Reader and didn’t want to lose the blog feeds, so I imported all the blogs I read to BlogLovin… Don’t lose all the fantastic blog feeds, here is the BlogLovin Google Reader Importer.  Give it a try and let me know what you think.
